PS5 stock is coming back to the UK (Image: SONY)

New predictions have been made regarding the next PS5 Stock update and which store will release the next shipments.

This week Amazon UK, John Lewis and Smyths are all linked to PlayStation 5 restocks.

And while we don’t have an exact date for when the stock will be available to buy, there’s a good chance something will happen on Tuesday, July 27, 2021.

Based on the most recent predictions, an Amazon PS5 replenishment could happen on July 27, along with several other stores.

The PS5 stock will reportedly go live at 8am BST and will consist mainly of disc edition consoles.

A list of PS5 Instant on Twitter includes a number of stores, but it should be noted that these are predictions, meaning the final dates and times may change.

PS5 DATA

  • Amazon: July 27 – August 4 (8-10 a.m.)
  • John Lewis: July 27-29 (7-9am)
  • ShopTo: July 28 – August 3 (9am to 1pm)
  • Smyths: July 30 – August 6
  • ASDA: July 27 – August 4
  • Scan: July 30 – August 6

John Lewis is only expected to have about 2,000 consoles to sell, meaning it could be a very short restock.

Meanwhile, Amazon is expected to sell thousands of next-gen consoles, although they have been known to push back dates.

If it does, gamers may have to wait until early August for the web giant to have more.

Smyths is another UK retailer that is expected to offer PlayStation 5 consoles by the end of the week. This can happen in the evening of Friday 30 July.

Knowing when a PS5 replenishment is due can be vital, but it’s also worth knowing how each retailer handles their shipments.

And here are a few examples of how best to try and buy a PlayStation 5 console from leading UK retailers:

AMAZON UNITED KINGDOM: Amazon UK works better under tension, but still has a few kinks worth noting. Creating an account with your card details is a good start, and gamers should also try adding a console to their wish list before checking out. More stock is expected at the end of July.

ARGOS: The Argos website is notorious for crashing and not being able to complete purchases when there is a lot of site traffic. Inventory trackers recommend using the Argos mobile app and keeping an eye on local store listings.

GAME: GAME is a UK retailer offering the most regular stock updates for PS5 consoles. However, console hunters have been warned to use Guest Checkout as this option is less likely to crash when completing a purchase. The next PS5 stock is expected in August 2021.

Many of the consoles currently available in the UK are digital, meaning they don’t have a disc drive, which Sony confirms:

“The only difference between the PS5 console and the PS5 Digital Edition console is the inclusion of an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive in the PS5 console. The PS5 Digital Edition console does not have a disc drive.

“The PS5 console features an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive that allows you to play PS5 Blu-ray Disc games and PS4 Blu-ray Disc games, as well as play video from 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Discs, standard Blu-ray Discs. ray discs and DVDs.

“The PS5 Digital Edition console does not have an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive. Owners of a PS5 Digital Edition console can purchase PS5 and PS4 games from PlayStation Store or access games through PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now (requires an ongoing paid subscription for each, sold separately).”
